Cross cultural awareness programme
This
2 day course gives participants a powerful overview of what it means to be culturally competent and up skills participants in intercultural communication techniques.
Over 2 days participants:
- Explore communication from other cultural perspectives
- Gain awareness of potential problem areas and pitfalls
- Identify their personal cultural ‘programming’
- Learn to evaluate differences positively instead of negatively for better intercultural communication
- Plan strategies to improve their cross cultural communication
Cultural Training programme
6-8 two hour 1-1 Sessions
This course applies a high performance training/coaching model to optimize personal, professional and cross cultural activity.
The course is tailored to suit the particular needs of the transitioning individual or couple and will facilitate, support and up skill participants in managing intercultural transition, using both a coaching and training approach.
Over 6-8 two hour sessions, participants:
- Become more aware of their personal cultural orientation and appreciate how this shapes intentions, beliefs and behaviours
- Challenge limiting beliefs and foster learning and an open mindset
- Identity ways to expand and broaden cross cultural communication options
- Apply a cross cultural competence model to identify communication gaps
- Learn to leverage cultural difference for maximum return
What is cultural competence?
- Understand their own cultural identity and biases and be able to explain them to someone from a different cultural background
- Make sense of their experience and be able to anticipate and recognize similar situations faster
- Adapt their response and mode of communication to the situation and the person they are interacting with.
